Wild Kalahari Silk

Hand woven and naturally dyed from wild harvested kalahari silk, handmade in Namibia by female artisans.

Wild Kalahari silk is an environmentally sustainable product from Namibia.  The silk cocoons are hand-picked on small family farms and community lands.  Female artisans wash and boil them, and spin the silk into yarn.  The women then dye the silk using natural products including beets, onions, turmeric, pressed flowers and berries which yield the most beautiful colors.

Each scarf is hand woven and hand dyed, and has it’s own unique variations.

Small: 11.5″ x 67″
